Chantix Dosage and Usage

Chantix (Varenicline) comes in convenient weekly dose packs. You may need to know the following dosage information before taking Chantix. Remember to always take Chantix dosage as prescribed by your doctor!

• Chantix is supplied in doses of 0.5 mg (white) and 1 mg (blue) tablets. The blue tablet is a higher dosage than the white tablet taken in the first 7 days.
• You may start with an initial Chantix dose of 0.5 mg once a day
• You may increase the Chantix dose to 0.5 mg twice daily after 3 days
• Chantix dosage is increased to 1 mg twice daily after 7 days
• Don't skip doses and double dose for missed Chantix dose
• People with kidney problems and those on dialysis may need to have a lower dose of Chantix, so discuss this with your doctor.
• Dosage and schedule may vary. Be sure to let your doctor know of any side effects you may be experiencing. They may be relieved by changing the dosage.
